How many of us have famous parents or grandparents who have passed away? If you do, you have the blessing of running across their name or picture from time to time, in a party, in old newspapers, in history books, and even on the internet.

But what if your, say, uncle was not famous? He was just an ordinary man, with an ordinary job, but with a heart of gold. You had not seen him in years, but you felt this magical connection to him, every time you talked to him on the phone, and one day, you receive that dreaded phone call:
